Dear Students,
In 1992, the foundation stone for the educational complex of Yuva Gramin Vikas Sanstha was laid, influenced by the socio-economic and ethical transformations in our country.
The mission is accomplished through the establishment of an educational complex in Gargoti, Kolhapur. Shri. Anandrao Abitkar College of Engineering provides quality education through the inclusion of innovative courses and the establishment of a friendly environment. In my view, students who finish different courses will not only have plenty of job prospects in India and abroad but can also aspire to be entrepreneurs and researchers.

Great leaders are born, and the arrival of Shri. Prakshrao Abitkar into a prosperous farming family in Gargoti village, Kolhapur marked the start of significant future events. As a social worker, Shri. Prakshrao Abitkar did not rest on his laurels; instead, he aspired to contribute better values to society. Thus started the vision “To provide the people with quality education in all areas”. His aspirations have materialised thanks to a well-regarded educational foundation named Yuva Gramin Vikas Sanstha, which operates several institutions at the Budhargad taluka headquarters in Kolhapur.
Shri. Prakshrao Abitkar graduated from Shivaji University, located in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. He works in education and social work. The Yuva Gramin Vikas Sanstha, under his capable leadership, has established over 8 academic institutions ranging from kindergarten to postgraduate levels across various disciplines in Kolhapur. Shri. Prakash Abitkar, a politician affiliated with Shiv Sena, hails from the Kolhapur district in Maharashtra. Since 2014, he has held the position of Member of the Legislative Assembly for Kolhapur’s Radhanagari Vidhan Sabha constituency in Maharashtra, India. Due to his public and social connections, the Maharashtra Government has offered him the position of Cabinet Minister (Public Health and Family Welfare) starting December 15, 2024.
